He studied at Bryanston School in Dorset and went to art school at Kingston. In his late twenties, he sought help for drug dependency and subsequently retrained as a psychotherapist. After following a fairly conventional career path throughout his 30s, he rebranded himself in the some-what out there style for which he's become known, which some have dubbed 'Gonzo Therapy'.
His own background in the music, film and TV business combined with his experiences working with many well-known names in the creative fields has formed his outlook and writing style. His earlier works include Bladesville, Dreamachine, Play From Your Fucking Heart, and The Book of Sin.
In his forthcoming book, Empathy for the Devil, he yet again plunges into sex, psychedelics, hurricanes and heroes on a quest for the truth at all costs, exploring issues of paedophilia, plant medicine, and community through narrative.
