Sometimes the Universe likes to surprise us. How would you react?
Kathy and Betty Ann are starting a book club. When Kathy ordered a hard copy of the book, this is what she got... She had a choice of how to react to the size of the book, and she chose to see it with humor. Sometimes the Universe likes to surprise us. How would you react?

Thursday night saw a big step into the future for those who attended my Group Future Life Progression at Into the Mystic. We began with a presentation about Dolores Cannon and her hypnosis technique; our many, many lifetimes; what we can carry into our next life; soul families; and how our various lives impact the most important lifetime of all—the current one. Then we all settled in for a visualization exercise and the QHHT (Quantum Hypnosis Healing Technique) journey. Participants had the choice to go 100, 200, or 300 years into the future, with most going to 200 or 300 years in the future. After they all came back, they had the opportunity to journal their experiences, which we then discussed. I was not prepared for what came out. Many of the participants had similar experiences involving the descriptions of the buildings they saw, and especially the roles of color and sound. I have always said that color is a field of study all its own, and our experience Thursday evening bore that out. One participant described what he saw as color and sound being one and the same. All those who experienced color in their future life reported the colors being beyond vibrant and even very difficult to describe. One participant described the future life she viewed as building a community with others that she knew was her soul family. When we discussed how the lifetimes they saw shed light on their current life, the meaning was profound for her, and she realized her soul's purpose—the one purpose that helps define her lifetime after lifetime. Another participant actually asked me why I was such a Dolores Cannon fan. I think by the end of the evening, he understood my fascination with her work. Guest blog by candacecrawgoldman | April 24, 2017 | Lately I’ve been responding to a great many questions about Dolores Cannon, Quantum Healing (QH), Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT) and hypnosis in general. There are many QH/QHHT practitioners in the world and many people who are interested in having a session. I hope this post helps you all. First of all I was personally trained by Dolores herself in July, 2008, and was the demonstration subject for the session that was done live with her during that class. Secondly, I began assisting her practitioner community about 6 months after that class and continue to do so today. Our Original QH Support Forum is thriving and more lively today than even when Dolores herself was alive. Why? Because she is actually even more accessible NOW (to practitioners and clients as well) than when she was incarnate. Here are some BASIC facts about QH and hypnosis: 1. The “level” of your QH practitioner is no indication of their caring, skill, knowledge, or ability for YOU to heal. It does show that the practitioner has made an effort to hone their skills. I myself took multiple Level 2 classes from Dolores herself and then assisted in them for many years afterwards. Dolores also granted me Level 3 status but I no longer participate in that program. Every bit of information Dolores had to share was given in the Level one class. This remains the case to this day. Level 2 and Level 3 are just honing of skills. I have personally witnessed miracles facilitated by brand-new practitioners…heart and intent, and connection and trust between you and your facilitator matter much more than “Level” status. 2. ALL hypnosis is self-hypnosis and hypnosis is NOT anesthesia. If you are expecting to black out and not remember anything and wake up healed you will be disappointed. This is NOT how it works. Most people have a great misunderstanding of what hypnosis is and what it is not. 3. There are only 2 classes of people who “cannot” be hypnotized. Severely mentally ill or mentally challenged people, and those who have some sort of fear or resistance. Now that “resistance” can be anything. It can be from you not trusting your practitioner or yourself. It can come from not being in a relaxing place and being “on guard.” It can come from prior beliefs about hypnosis being wrong or “a sin.” You might be “afraid” of facing your issue. There are many causes to resistance and a skilled and/or loving practitioner can help you release that resistance so that you may have the experience your higher self wants to give you. 4. You are in hypnosis most of your day. I promise. You are constantly imagining what you are about to do, what happened yesterday, what you are going to say to so and so, etc. This is a light form of hypnosis. When you get in your car and drive 30 minutes (usually a well-traveled route) and it feels like 5 minutes because you have been thinking of “whatever” – you were hypnotized. That’s right, even while driving. Your body was on automatic pilot. If someone cuts you off or you blow a tire you come out of your hypnosis to take care of the situation. Hypnosis, and QH or QHHT is like a long, involved daydream. And just like in daydreaming, you do not need to “visualize” per se, just be able to daydream. Some people daydream in sounds or concepts or “knowings” and most daydream constantly throughout the day. Before getting up out of this chair to go get more coffee I will have the thought of me getting up out of my chair and walking to the kitchen to get my fresh cup. This may be a thought, an image, the sounds of my feet moving across the floor or just the whole concept. This is imagination. This is daydreaming. This is the place you “go” when you are hypnotized and having a QH Session. 5. Many people including Dolores herself, God BLESS her amazing soul, was one person who used the word “somnambulism” so often she set sometimes unrealistic expectations for clients to have those kinds of sessions. What is somnambulism? It is commonly referred to a sleep-walking state or very deep hypnosis where one does in fact not remember or remember much of the session at all. She talked about this for a number of reasons including suggestibility, but frankly, it simply continues to confuse prospective clients. 6. Only a very small percentage of people are natural somnambulists. One study says 3%. This whole subject is a book within itself and I won’t go into more detail here, suffice it to say this- The depth of trance has no bearing on the “success” of the session. None whatsoever. Really. There are multiple instances of miraculous outcomes with incredibly “light” states of hypnosis. When Dolores counted me out of my session in 2008, she actually asked me in class “What do you think you remember?” I said, “I remember every single detail, and most vividly.” She laughed a bit and said, “Oh I bet you don’t remember as much as you think you do.” And cheeky me said, “Test me.” She laughed and changed the subject. Like a vivid dream you can absolutely recall and remember every detail of your session. I did. You can take your “every day” conscious awareness into a session. But, like any dream, it can fade. The “expectations” thing was such a big deal for clients of practitioners because they started to think that only Dolores Cannon could hypnotize people deeply to have the healing or information contained within her books. It became a problem for those doing her work. After years of her practitioners and me asking, Dolores finally relented and made the following video with me about this subject. I have to laugh a little bit when I watch this video. Anyone who reads energy even in a small way can see Dolores is not completely happy about answering this question and doing this video. This is a bit like a magician showing how one of their tricks work. Saying repeatedly to the world that she worked in the somnambulistic state suggested to clients that that is exactly where they themselves would go, so, they ***WOULD*** go deeper, while having a session with the amazing Dolores Cannon, they pre-programed themselves to do so. Then afterwards, if they “remembered” they may have thought they did something wrong or maybe “weren’t” deep enough.
This could not be further from the truth, and towards the end of her life Dolores would say (in her later classes) that she herself noticed more and more of her own clients staying in the lighter trance state anyway and bringing their conscious awareness with them on their experience. Why would more people remember or bring their every day consciousness into a session? Because we are waking up, that’s why. We are more connected to our Higher Selves than many of us realize. And that is a good thing. Dolores’ work continues through her practitioners and others who have studied her work, and in an expanded and powerful way, because she is so accessible to all of us in the Spirit Realm. Remember that the most important element in a Quantum Healing Session is trust. Trust in the method, your practitioner, and most importantly, yourself. Copyright 2017 Candace Craw-Goldman. Last Thursday my friend Eddie hosted my Group Past Life Regression Hypnosis at his shop Into the Mystic in Mission, KC. It was amazing!
One attendee visited the old West as a gunslinger who neglected to pack his gun at a dance. He later got revenge for the shooting death of his dance partner and was hung for it. In this life he feels he is never quite prepared. Another witnessed a life as a hospital nurse in Poland in the 1930s and watched Hitler's army march into Warsaw. Later, she witnessed a bomb blast that took her son. In this life, she is extremely protective of her family. One woman was a wife and young mother who led a completely contented life but died shortly after childbirth. In this life, she feels very connected to her son and is very protective of him. And another was a traditional academic in the early 1900s in an ancient, traditional school and enjoyed the longstanding history of his profession. In this lifetime, she is non-traditional in a conventional sense yet gained insight into how she is very proud of how her path is more "traditional" than she thought. The group experience was based on Dolores Cannon's hypnosis methods and had great results. We're going to do another group hypnosis session April 27 at Into the Mystic--this time, to visit a future life! Who knows what we'll find. I'm sure it will be a great experience. See our Events page for details and tickets. Blogged by Christi
I'm writing this at 9:15 a.m. in a green hospital gown, and I have to make it quick before the doctors visit me on rounds and hopefully spring me from my hospital bed. At least, that's what I hope they'll do. I've been here all weekend. Friday night I came in through the Emergency Room, driven there by my mom and 10-year-old daughter. I thought I was having another stroke. I've had a couple of minor ones, so I knew what to watch for. When things started looking strange after a Happy and Healthy Hour, I thought I'd best get it checked out. Of course, I didn't know that I wouldn't leave for 36 hours.... I'm receiving good care and am feeling 100%. Apparently the hospital staff was concerned enough to admit me. I'm just waiting for the MRI results from yesterday. It's the weekend, and apparently the only doctors who can read MRIs are enjoying it with their families. So I wait. "I'm teaching a class at 2:00 on the UMKC campus!" I want to yell in the hall. One doctor told me he'd make sure I was out at 2:00. Not gonna work. There are people here who are sicker than I am. I get it. They need immediate care, while I can.... What's the word? Simmer? Languish? Contemplate and meditate? That feels much better. I've been doing a lot of that the past 24+ hours, between missing and worrying about my daughter and stressing about my business and getting my taxes done and juggling all my weekend plans and obligations. But here I sit. But this is not the point of this blog. It feels cathartic to put all this down, but it's not the point. The point of this blog is that I am human, with a very human body. And I admit it, I need help to figure out what is going on with it. My mind is screaming "I'm a Reiki master! A Quantum Healing Hypnosis Practitioner! A spiritual medium! A meditation instructor, for Pete's sake!" How could a holistic healer who believes in spiritual and energetic causes for all physical problems wind up in a hospital with a stroke? I help people with life situations. I am a spiritual person. Yet here I am. All this to say that there are times when holistic, spiritual people need Western medical help. There are times when it is appropriate, and we need to be able to surrender our beliefs--or at least suspend them--when our bodies are in danger. And by the way: Archangel Michael came with me in the MRI. He held my hands and showered me with love. He kept me calm when my back was screaming in pain and it was louder than a jet engine. And guess what? He sent me an angel named "Michal" (yep, pronounced "Michael." I checked.) to run the machine and take care of me. There have been other blessings, too many to count: When asked what I do for a living by every single hospital worker here, I was honest: I am a professional medium, Reiki master, and hypnosis practitioner. I guarantee you've never had a patient like me, I thought. Nearly everyone was curious, and I provided impromptu aura readings and connections with loved ones. It changed some minds and proved what was possible. The work continues no matter what. Plus, the staff are kind, compassionate, and wonderful here at Truman Medical Center. I hope I never see them again. :-) Update, 9:40: The MRI results are in. Not a stroke! Either a TIA or complex migraine. I do have vascular disease, which I will for sure correct by taking a higher dose of aspirin and the cholesterol medication my doctors have been begging me to take. There was more, too: an atypical, benign hemangioma mass on my C-spine that we will continue to monitor; cervical spondylosis, which I will research; narrowing of the C7-C8 vertebrae, and nerve root compression. I will be talking with Spirit to find the energetic connection to these things and doing more targeted self-Reiki. But the biggest news is that I get to leave in about an hour. See you soon, and please. If your body truly needs Western medical attention, do not delay it. There are times when we truly need help. Blogged by Christi
Friends and family sometimes ask me to do readings for them, but it gets a little tricky. I don’t know about other psychic mediums, but I am a bit reluctant to read people I know well for a few reasons: I have to be able to trust what I'm receiving. With friends and family, I'm always second-guessing: “Am I projecting? Did I know that already? Also, the contract I stated with Source when I began doing this work years ago was that the information I wanted to receive is helpful and relevant. It's not always convenient, though, and it can get awkward with friends. Would you want to tell a friend that she is heading for trouble if she doesn’t change her habits? Sometimes I receive information that I probably shouldn't know, like friends' relationships are splitting up or they have an untrustworthy spouse. I don't really want to know that kind of thing until the friend wants me to. I love my friends, and I want them to have the learning experiences they need. And (Spirit forbid) what if I’m wrong? That said, some of my clients and students do become good friends, after the reading! And if a friend or family member is open, I will receive random “hits” that I might feel comfortable sharing. Plus, if a friend really needs spiritual advising and comes to me for help, I will do what I can. Because that's what friends do. We are gearing up for a really big weekend. We hope to see you at KC Metaphysical's New Spring Fair!

And download a snazzy coupon to print and share! By Joyce Avans It was 4:34 a.m. when the back of my brain hit the front of my brain and I realized I was wide awake. “This is not fair!” my now-conscious brain screamed. “I’m off today! I should be sleeping in!” Instead I find myself up, going to the bathroom, rummaging through the fridge, and then checking my email (as if there would be anything life-threatening or life-changing since I last checked it just before climbing into bed at midnight less than five hours ago). So what does one do at 5:15 a.m. and still wide awake? It’s still dark out. Most of the world around me is still asleep. I could hear a few songbirds awakening and coaxing the morning sun to broach the sea of night and bring the dawn to light. I tried to curl back under my covers, wishing for a few more hours of sleep, but my mind would not settle down. So I reached for a book from my nightstand. “Maybe if I make my eyes tired, I can fall back asleep,” I thought to myself. So much for that idea. The book I grabbed was Quantum Wellness by Kathy Freston. As I wiped the dust from the cover, I realized it had been a long, long time since I had originally read this book, maybe even a decade or more. I was not going to go back to sleep now. Sometimes you just know. You are looking for something. You reach out and try something on, but you know instantly that it doesn’t fit. So you continue to search for the solution to what is nagging at you. You try one thing after another. As you stretch out your arms, you realize that it (whatever it is) is too tight, too big, not the right color, just doesn’t taste good anymore. The list goes on and on. You’ve found yourself in a space where you are not comfortable and it’s time to change—but how? That’s what this book is about . . . conscious living. It’s about making life-altering decisions that will affect the world we live in. It doesn’t matter how small those choices and changes may be. It’s about choices. What we choose to eat. What we choose to use in our homes on a daily basis. What we are passionate about. It’s about how those choices will impact the world we live in, on, support. Due to autoimmune diseases, I live in a “high maintenance” body. Due to uncontrollable life circumstances, I struggle with severe PTSD. I have been told, “If you live through the night, we will talk in the morning.” I was given a 25% chance to live another 3 months. It’s been almost 6 years since then. I have to make choices every day that affect not only the moment but the next day, week, even month. I have to be very careful about food choices. I have to make sure I get enough sleep. I have to be aware of what cleaning products and chemicals I use in my home. I have to. I have no choice if I want to not just survive but to thrive. So what does that have to do with conscious living every day? It's how I make those choices and the attitude that I use in choosing that has made the difference in my life. I could be bitter about the circumstances of my life, but I choose to truly to live a life filled with gratitude. If I had not gone through what I have, I would not be who I am today—and I am grateful and celebrate who I am today. Each morning before I even get out of bed, I breathe deeply and say "thank you for another day.” I make a conscious choice to begin looking for the unknown blessings and miracles that I know are already on their way today. This is how I make my heart sing. I get up every day, make myself something healthy to eat, and give thanks that I have good nourishing food to eat. I go outside and feel the sun warm my body, the wind blow through my hair. That connection with the physical world around me helps to heal my mind, body and soul. I dig in the dirt and plant my garden. This gives me hope for the future. I grab my camera and photograph the gifts I have been given to look at each morning. I become still and meditate. I sit on my deck and watch the neighborhood birds trade places at my bird feeders. I listen to music. And when chaos calls and wants to trap me in, I stop and breathe. Just breathe. I find my passion being filled back up. Yes, there are days when it’s one step forward, two steps back. Days when baby steps are necessary. However, when we do allow ourselves the space to discover what makes our heart sing, we start to follow our heart’s passion. We begin to heal, and we move toward becoming whole. Life doesn’t always have to be changing all or nothing. Try making one thing better every day. Take baby steps. Be still and listen. This is how we grow. This is how we heal. This is how we make our hearts sing. Or like this? Or even like this? However 2016 appeared for you, know that the community at Radiate Wellness has your back (plus chakras, past lives, and spirit). You are the reason we do what we do, and we appreciate you. We look forward to another year of being of service and growing together.
If your 2016 was less than stellar (or if it was am-A-zing! or merely just another year), come see Christi and Kathy tomorrow, 12/31/16 9 a.m.-2 p.m. to “Release and Let Go” of it and welcome the new energies of 2017. We will be providing energy work and readings to come to grips with the energies of 2016 and see what's ahead for 2017. Visit our Events page for more details. I speak to so many who tell me that 2016 was terrible for them. Just last night I spoke with another woman who said 2016 sucked for her. It was, honestly, a time of a LOT of growth for me and the other practitioners at Radiate Wellness (though we've had our challenges as well).
However 2016 presented itself for you, come release its energy. Gain clarity for the changes you've been through, and see what's coming for you in 2017. Come see Kathy and me this Saturday, Dec. 31; 9 am-2 pm at Yoga Patch #6, 7235 Central Street. For more details, visit our Events page. |
