During a Reiki session, the spiritually guided life force energy comes through the Reiki practitioner’s hands and into the body and energy field of the client, to the places where it is most needed. This is similar to many spiritual traditions, which employ “laying on of hands,” although Reiki is not associated with any religion.
A Reiki session feels like a warm and comfortable radiance that flows through and around the client. The client lies fully clothed on a massage table while the practitioner places hands gently on or over the client’s body. Each individual’s experience is unique and based upon individual needs. Sessions can be done in the practitioner’s office, client’s residence, or through distance work.
